Being a content writer, it was easy for me to get backlinks via guest posts but not all big domains accept it for free.

And guess what? I got my top-tier backlink from GoBankingRates and Yahoo finance.
I got two links from a single submission of no more than 100 words.

HARO stands for Help A Reporter Out. It’s a free service that offers journalists to secure valuable media coverage. It contains a robust database of sources (mainly authority news sites) that are seeking help in the research.

How did HARO work for me?HARO turned out to be a game-changer for my backlink profile.
The process is simple.
I made an account on HARO and activated the daily emails.
I started getting three emails a day, at 5:35 a.M., 12:35 p.M. And 5:35 p.M. ET from Monday to Friday.
The emails will be broken down into multiple categories with a title and the name of the outlet in brackets in each request.
Here’s an example:
You have the freedom to pick relevant topics that you can contribute with expertise. Focus on the requests with anonymous written in the bracket.
There is a big chance that it could be a high authority media outlet.
I used my writing expertise and helped reporters in their research by pitching them some ideas related to their queries.
After pitching three to four times, I started getting links from good domains.
Make sure that your writing and grammar should be apt and you research the content well.
Here are some sites through which I got some credible backlinks:
Backlink 1: GoBankingRates (DA: 82)
You can see in the screenshot that I get the link with my name from this high domain authority site. The article is also published on Yahoo finance, and I got a link from there too.
In this way, I got two links eventually by sharing a single tip with the publisher.
Backlink 2: Women fitness (DA: 60)
The screenshot shows the link I got from this site with my name. And the best part was, my content is published without any amendments.
Backlink 3: edible (DA: 66)
Well. This one was really surprising for me. I shared a recipe of banana smoothie here which I usually make for myself. And see, I got a backlink to my site with a full profile.
